New York, New York

The 2026 season lineup is here! Celebrating the 40th Anniversary of Capital One City Parks Foundation SummerStage, our season features more than 60 shows in 13 parks and honors our history by presenting beloved SummerStage veterans and tomorrow’s icons. In June of 1986, the first ever SummerStage show kicked off with a bang, as avant-garde Afrofuturist Sun Ra Arkestra touched down at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park.  Both the park and our city’s cultural landscape have been forever changed. In the 40 years since, SummerStage has presented thousands of global artists to audiences numbering over seven million, bringing thousands of free live performances to neighborhood parks across the city. Whether you’ve been with us since that very first show or you joined us for the first time last summer at one of our 70+ performances, be it with Jon Batiste, The Roots, Marcus Miller, or Soccer Mommy, it’s been our honor and our joy to dance, sing, and groove with you.
